Swayimane Crafters

The Swayimane crafters gathered today to work on adding value to products.

They took an existing craft design (the much loved animal decorations) and turned them into a mobile.

They tried various tying methods to make sure the product was robust and the animals balanced. There perseverance paid off!

Lunch was provided by the Orphan and Vulnerable Children Committee from Swayimane which will use the funds they raised for projects with the vulnerable children they support.

The crafters that make the animals will also benefit as these ladies will purchase from them.

Win, win, win!

The Close-Knit Community is back! For a fourth year we will be 'yarn bombing' in Abergavenny. That is decorating the town with wool, using knitted and crocheted squares. This year we're taking inspiration from the Abergavenny Arts Festival's theme of water. 'Go live' is Sunday 17th June 2018 which is also Father's Day.
